I had a crappy day today- this helped...
by termite 35 ina friend texted this to me today.... a man took his wife to the doctor to be checked out as she was feeling unwell.
after examining her he took the husband to one side and sighed, ' i'm afraid it's very serious; your wife has either aids or alzheimers .. ' that's terrible ' exclaimed the man, 'but how will i know which one she's got?'.
' oh, that's easy enough sir, just put her on a bus and if she comes home, don't shag her'

Does anyone know current JW attitude to war, UN etc?
by termite 35 ini was just wondering what was being said at the meetings these days following the iraq/un situation.
are they trying to link the situation up to any 'prophesies' while getting their troops fired up and ready for the end?!
or is all this just seen as part of the last days generally.just curious as i don't get to hear the preseentations at the door and seem to be being shunned again , just wondered if this pointed to anything that's been advised from the platform lately.what's the mood like in the society in light of the conflict?

my dad died
by termite 35 indear everyone, my dad died suddenly and unexpectedly at the weekend.he did'nt turn up for a family dinner and my husband and i went to see if he was ok.he was dead.collapsed in his home.i can't stop shaking and i feel really sick.i've lost my mum and now my dad too.i wish i could sleep for months and wake when the pain has finished with me.
it hurts so much .sorry to bring everyone down-but i'm stressed at having to sort out his arrangements due to the autopsy and funeral etc and the house and my feelings.
; i just wanted to tell you all as my husband's gone for a walk and the children are asleep and i'm feeling scared about viewing his body, but i know i'll have to and i feel guilty for feeling like that.stupid thoughts racing through my mind at the moment-need to 'hear' a friendly voice .

Do you still use the name Jehovah when you......
by termite 35 in..pray with your kids ?.
my son is only 8 and went to the kingdom hall from birth to 6 1/2 years old.i don't mind praying for/with him every night as he wants me to, even though my 'faith' has changed alot these past 18 months and at the moment i'm content to enjoy my freedom and let experiences in life direct me instead of a religion.
he wants me to use the j word and i feel really uncomfortable using it .

truckers holiday
by termite 35 inglad you had a good time-i did the lands end to john o,groats trip on a bike years ago, when i was young!.
it was a good experience but the weather in the lake district was awful and i got soaked from then on until i hit john o' groats- then, the clouds skudded away and the whole area was bathed in the brightest light i've ever seen-i could have happily stayed there and never gone back!.
how's your bum??!

Emans BBQ and everyone......
by termite 35 injust a post to thank mike and christina for a such a brilliant day;the food, the welcome and the constant hospitality was so kind, i had a great time meeting you all, even though i'd been so nervous.
so many people made such a huge effort to be there, and you were all lovely.
it really made my day to have you all around me; i feel so protective of you all now!
